"I only went out for a walk, and finally concluded to stay till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in." John Muir

We believe that some of the best learning or development situations are those that provide opportunity for “experiential learning.” Experiential learning can be described as “learning by doing or experiencing.”

So whether we provide clients with an experiential in-house program that allows their employees to cross-train (experience) different job positions and tasks, or we take a sales team on a canoe trip for the day or we take a group of executives on a 4 day back-pack trip or we develop a service learning program for college students, we are interested in the intensity, inspiration, and particularly, retention of learning that occurs through those experiences.

Experience life along a trail or a river, sitting around a campfire at night, or taking in the comforts of an exclusive spa or resort, perhaps discussing life's interests and journey, developing new skills at a trail-side informal training discussion about Visioning, meeting new people, and challenging yourself physically and mentally. Or perhaps just take time for a short or day-long program, a brief opportunity to integrate non-normal experiences, learning, and work/life.

Facilitation and Transfer of Skills -- We believe that experiential learning is effective only if participants are able to make the connection between the experiential activity and the learning or applicability back on the job or in life. For that reason, we use skilled facilitators who are experienced at taking fun learning opportunities and transforming them into opportunities to impact the business. They are also people who have had experience in and are comfortable leading groups in the outdoors.

Some of our courses involve learning about the following topics. Any course or program can be designed to meet the needs of our Clients.

  • Self-discovery/MBTI Personality Assessment
