If you have significant experience in business development and/or management consulting, you may be interested in being an Associate of C4IOE. We often have need of contract Associate Consultants who have Business Development or Management Consulting experience (or other consulting experience).

1. What is an "Associate"?

The Center for Individual and Organizational Effectiveness networks and works with expert consultants or "Associates," on a contract basis, to provide a variety of human resources, management and organization development services to businesses and non-profit organizations nationally and internationally. The "network of consultants" concept is not new, but it is a practice that allows for a win-win-win scenario for Clients, Associates, and C4IOE.

We are interested in both Business Development Associates (BDA) and Management Consulting Associates (MCA). The Business Development Associates focus on identifying business, and generating and following-up on leads. The Management Consulting Associates are the consultants who work with the Clients on the assessment and implementation of projects. Associates operate what C4IOE calls "satellite offices" (some Associates operate out of their own homes, others from their offices somewhere).

C4IOE primarily markets services in the management consulting, operational process improvement, human resources and organization development vein, but the range of services in that area is only limited by our extent to locate a qualified expert to work with a Client in a particular service arena. In other words, we're not limited to providing only certain services as long as we can locate a qualified expert, or already have one in our network.

C4IOE is in a growth mode with lots of exciting things happening. Therefore, people who network with C4IOE have the ability to help shape and change our business, while becoming very successful as an independent operator.

2. What are the primary benefits of the Associate network for potential Clients of C4IOE?

  • Because C4IOE operates as a network of consultants, we are not limited to the bench strength that an internally operated consulting group might be. C4IOE has the ability to quickly locate qualified consultants in a variety of practice areas, and possibly in a nearby location, for the Client.
  • We find that once Clients establish a good relationship with a consultant, they want that consultant to provide a variety of services - the "One Stop Shopping" concept. But the consultant may not have experience in providing all of the services the Client requires. So the consultant can refer to the network of qualified experts through C4IOE to provide further service to the Client.
  • Again because of the network of consultants, C4IOE has lower overhead costs, and is able to offer quality services at lower rates than some of the larger consulting companies.
  • C4IOE may do the initial background screening and reference checks on its Associates, so the Client does not have to go through that routine to "check out" a potential contract vendor.

3. What are the benefits to Associates of C4IOE?

4. What are the responsibilities of a Business Development Associate?

Generate/obtain job leads for C4IOE and the network of Management Consulting Associates. This will generally be done in the city/region where the Business Development Associate is located, although individual cases where the Associate wants to market out of the region/state will be considered.

5. What are the responsibilities of a Management Consulting Associate?

The MC Associate will provide expert, reliable, effective consulting, training or recruiting services in the contracted area(s) with Clients.
